What are the building blocks of radical innovation? How are successful innovation teams, companies and regional ecosystems constructed? And what kind of infrastructure supports learning throughout the organisation?
These questions are of great importance to any company seeking to become more innovative. And there is much to be learned from current research and practice. In this talk, Anders Berglund and Neeraj Sonalkar will present design thinking behaviours and capital formation behaviours at individual, team, organisational and regional levels that have been shown to influence innovation outcomes.
They will discuss organisational transformation in both emerging and developed countries, drawing from their work on building innovation ecosystems in India and Nigeria, as well as developing high-performance innovation teams in companies in the US and Europe.
Kort om föreläsaren/föreläsarna:
Neeraj Sonalkar is the executive director of human innovation design research at the Center for Design Research at Stanford University. He studies interpersonal interactions to understand the behavioural building blocks of innovation ecosystems. Sonalkar combines engineering design research, venture design and theatrical improvisation in his work to bring active learning experiences to innovation teams. His work at a broader level involves the study and development of regional innovation ecosystems such as Silicon Valley.
Anders Berglund is an innovation and educational consultant at Cenox Solutions, on change management, innovation skills and design thinking. He is an international workshop leader whose research spans from self-efficacy in design teams to education and innovation skills. He is about to join Mälardalen University as an associate professor in innovation and design. Prior to this, he worked as an assistant professor at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Berglund is also an eager entrepreneur with experience from one of the first sports management systems.
