Economic financing in transition
Professor Amar Bhidé from Tufts University, USA, gave an Estrad lecture entitled “Financing the Venturesome Economy” on November 10, 2010. Bhidé believes that those interested in entrepreneurship should also be interested in our financial system. When the financial system collapses as it has done, it hurts not only financiers but the whole society. No one is spared.
“Clean the stable, but keep the horse!”
Professor Amar Bhidé is not afraid to take on other scientists. He is more than happy to do so with those who sing lamentations about the threat of globalization. But he’s got a bit on his feet too. By now, he has been researching and teaching entrepreneurship for more than twenty years. He is also friends and colleagues with at least one Nobel laureate.
Leif Lundblad received the newly established ESBRI Award
Serial entrepreneur and inventor Leif Lundblad was awarded the Esbri Prize – For Entrepreneurship. The prize was awarded in connection with Esbri’s tenth anniversary celebrations at the Södra Theater in Stockholm.
“Research must be understandable, readable, and useful”
He calls himself a relapse entrepreneur and has never had a regular job. He started his first business at the age of 17. Since then, it’s been business as usual.
– I can’t help but constantly see new opportunities,” says Leif Lundblad.
