According to Annabeth Aagaard, editor of the book Business Model Innovation: Game Changer and Contemporary Issues, the discourse around business model innovation (BMI) has so far stuck to traditional frameworks and methods for working with BMI. And that is not enough to meet a complex reality, she says. Therefore, the book focuses on how companies can navigate among, for example, increased sustainability requirements, new platforms and artificial intelligence. Modern theories and methods for creating and transforming business models are presented.
One chapter explores how ecosystem collaboration can lead to more effective business model innovation strategies. We also learn more about how companies can use digital technologies to create sustainable business models. And another chapter shows how artificial intelligence can be used to create new value in BMI.
