Time: Tuesday, March 3, 2026, 15.00-16.00.
Location: Online (Zoom) – link will be sent to registered participants.
Speaker: Professor Maura McAdam, Dublin City University, Ireland.
About the webinar: Almost every day we read that women that are entrepreneurs receive less funding than men. This is just one area in which gender discrimination affects the starting, building, and growth of ventures.
The book Permission Granted – A Call to Action Playbook for Women Entrepreneurs was written in response to these challenges, as well as repeated requests from women entrepreneurs for practical, evidence-based guidance that can be applied throughout their entrepreneurial journeys. It is based on more than 30,000 hours of research and conversations with over 300 women entrepreneurs.
In the spirit of the importance of knowledge and data, the book is built on eight evidence-based calls to action.
During her webinar Professor Maura McAdam will present the core framework of the book. This includes both its foundation in research and how it can be used in practice, through actionable tools, reflective questions, and exercises for real-world settings.
Among the topics she will address are:
- Structural challenges in entrepreneurship, including gender bias and funding disparities.
- Tools and approaches to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Practical strategies and techniques to boost creativity.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions.
Note: Although the main target group for the book is women, Professor McAdam emphasizes that men can also gain insights into what defines an entrepreneur and how entrepreneurial talent is recognised and framed.
