“Can entrepreneurship be taught?” is the wrong question

About the lecture:

“Can entrepreneurship be taught?” The question is wrongly posed, according to Dr. Jonathan Levie, who will lecture at Estrad on 7 November. According to him, the relevant question is: “Can entrepreneurship be taught?”, and he answers it with a resounding “YES”.

Levie is a researcher and teacher at the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship, University of Strathclyde, Scotland, but also has a background as an entrepreneur. In his teaching, he uses so-called experiential learning. It differs significantly from traditional teaching methods, and is well suited to introducing entrepreneurship at primary, secondary and tertiary levels.

Jonathan Levie describes his interesting methodology, and how it has worked in different educational settings. During the lecture, he will also talk about its implications for students, teachers, entrepreneurs, business advisors and policy makers.
