The Kamprad Family Foundation is supporting 15 new research projects focusing on entrepreneurship. A total of SEK 75 million is distributed – and Linnaeus University receives the most money.<\/h2>\n\n

Fifteen projects at eight universities and four research institutes will receive funding for three years. The projects include the conditions for entrepreneurship in rural areas, sustainable business models for entrepreneurial farms and the development of entrepreneurial ecosystems in rural areas.<\/p>\n\n

– We are funding a wide range of research projects through this call. The funded researchers come from different disciplines such as humanities, engineering and social sciences and from Ume\u00e5 in the north to Lund in the south. But what all projects have in common is that they focus on entrepreneurship for a vibrant countryside,” says Lena Fritz\u00e9n, Executive Director of the Kamprad Family Foundation.<\/p>\n\n

For Ingvar Kamprad, the founder of the Foundation, it was important that the results of the investments made ‘benefit the many people’. This is why Lena Fritz\u00e9n and the other board members of the Foundation expect the projects to help solve concrete problems faced by businesses and society.<\/p>\n\n

– Once the projects are completed, it is important for us that the results produced by a project are fed back to the site and those who participated in the research. Moreover, it is also important that the results reach many more people in society and prodcue as much impact as possible,” says Lena Fritz\u00e9n.<\/p>\n\n
